Remote match

Unlike the local boards, where two players take turns on one device, here you play on separate devices with a single link. The other player does not have to be online. Make your move, leave, and they continue later.

Create a board and you get an invite link. Whoever opens the link plays Black. The moves of a remote match are stored on the server so they reach your opponent (deleted 30 days after the game ends).

Rated matches need a Gwirae account on both sides. The server checks every move and reports the result.

Where records are kept

The moves of a remote match are stored on the server so they can reach the other player's screen, and the game is deleted 30 days after it ends. A regular remote match has no nicknames and no accounts. Only rated matches use a Gwirae account. The local boards (the five games on the home page) still send nothing to the server.
